Day 27 – A picture of something you're afraid of

Day 25 & Day 26 were pretty repetitive of posts in the past. So I have decided to skip to day 27. Sorry for the delay in posting. School started up again so I've been a little lazy.
So as you may be able to see, this is a car crash. Now I'm not afraid of car crashes per say, but what I'm afraid of is unexpected events causing pain or taking away someone I love and care about. If someone close to me is dying of a disease, that is a lot easier for me to deal with, but to have someone taken away from me unexpectedly is something I honestly fear. I don't want to expound much on this, but I would just like to leave with a well known saying for all of us to try and live by.
Live every day like it is your last.
Live your life in a way that if you were to die tomorrow that you would have no regrets, no disputes unsettled, no one left behind that you love who doesn't know how much you love and care about them.

Day 24- A picture of yourself and a family member

The Fantastic Four
Having siblings my age was not something I was blessed with. But God definitely blessed me with some of the most amazing cousins in the world. On my mom's side, there are 5 of us that were all born within a year of each other. (Samuel lived in Nebraska, so I never really got to know him. But I love him just the same!) I have grown so close to my cousins over the years. Recently has been kind of a bitter sweet time for me. My cousin James just left on his mission to Canada about two months ago. My cousin Ben gives his farewell talk this Sunday and will be headed to the Philippines in a matter of weeks. I'm so proud of these boys and their choice to go serve the Lord for the next two years. I know they will be so great! Good Luck Elder Taylor and Elder Taylor. (:

BENJAMIN TAYLOR
Benny Boy. We were always known as the Hellions when we were younger. My Aunt Julie always said that God didn't send us to the same family because we'd be too much to handle. We are less then a month a part, and honestly Benny is one of my favorite people. Good luck in the Philippines Ben! I love you tons!!

JAMES TAYLOR
James lived further away then Ben and I did, so I was never as close to him when I was little. But as we got older, we definitely became better friends. To put it simply, James is a stud. No lie, at his mission farewell he had about 20 beautiful girls there. I asked him which one he was dating, and his answer was simple "Well, I'm dating a few. How could I not. When I get home from my mission I'm going to have to start all the way over! This sucks!" haha. Oh gosh. He totally takes after my grandfather. James is currently serving his mission in Canada. I know he is doing fantastic and I can't wait for him to get home! Love you Elder Taylor!!

TERESA WAYMENT
Tree. The sister I never had. I'm definitely the closest to her. She and I are so alike but so different. She has basketball and volleyball skills like you wouldn't believe! Not to mention she is ridiculously smart and super beautiful! I love this girl to death! Unfortunately, she has a horrible choice in schools. She's down at the blue school in the valley. She loves it, and I'm happy that she does! I just wish she was at Utah State with me. I'm so glad her and I have grown so close to each other over the years. Every time I see her we just have a blast. Monkey Ball, yearbook stalking, beef jerky, jumping on the tramp. I have so many great memories with her. Turns out my Aunt (her mom) and Grandfather have a bet on who will be married first out of me and Teresa. For those of you who know us both, I'm curious to hear your answer! I think there is a pie being bet with this! haha. Anyway, you're the greatest Teresa! I love you tons!!

Long story short, My cousins are the greatest ever. I'm so grateful that I have these 3 amazing examples in my life, as well as the countless number of other cousins that I am happy to call family. Nothing is more important to me than my family, and this definitely includes my extended family. My aunts and uncles are people I could trust with my life. I know they always have my best interest in mind, and I've been so blessed to grow close to a lot of them as well. Also my grandparents, some of the sweetest people in the world. I really am so happy that I was born a Taylor and a Chambers! God knew exactly what he was doing when he sent me down to my parents. (:

Day 23 – A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

To start out, the term "closest" is one that can't really be defined. So this is going to be a 3 part blog. Sorry ya'll. Also, Tyler Vowles is definitely on my list of someone I'm close too, but I've already devoted a blog day to him. :P It would be repetitive.

: : D R E W & K Y : :

Meet my brothers. Andrew Applegate and Kyler Hodgson. Seriously, I love these boys like family. I've known Andrew since 3rd grade and Ky since 5th. They are two of the best friends you could ever ask for. Probably some of the smartest, and most talented boys you will ever meet. Andrew plays piano like it's nobody's business and has a wicked tennis game. Ky rocks the guitar and has set so many swimming records I lost track.

Now we aren't like close as in call each other up every day and go over the details of our day. We're close in the way where you can go months without seeing each other, then when you spend time with each other, it's like nothing has changed. They honestly are two of my favorite people in the world. We always joke about getting married and having super smart, attractive, athletic, and musically gifted children. (: Honestly though, two young women out there are going to be very lucky when they marry one of these guys! They'll be awesome husbands and fathers!!

This is us at the senior banquet. Ya I know, they are studly. We make a good team!

This is Ky and I in 9th grade English... Good times. haha.
Drew and I at graduation.
This picture tells all.

Last day of sophomore year.

: : R O B E R T O : :

Now Rob is like the best friend kind of close that this question was probably referring too. Rob is someone I can talk to about anything. He is the one person that I can get into deep conversations with, share my opinions full heartedly, and know that he will never judge me. We don't always agree on things, but we always respect each other, and that's one reason I love this boy so much. Rob and I weren't that close when we were younger. We went to junior high with each other, and we were friends, but nothing like we are now. I'd say we started to really become close our Junior year of high school. Rob went to the U my senior year of high school, and even now we don't go to the same school. But the fact that we still talk a lot and keep in touch I think is something that makes our friendship so awesome. Seriously, Robert Simmons, you are my best friend.
My birthday 9th grade. We are LITTLE!!

My favorite dance picture ever! We were lost boys from peter pan. NOT Rambo :p
Best. Class. Of. High. School. AP Calculus.
Senior all night party. This about sums us up hahaha.

: : S A R A H : :
I Saved the best for last. Sarah Evans AKA Gangsta. We've been TIGHT since about 8th grade. EFY is where it all really began. She is the greatest! Honestly I'm so glad that we go to the same college. It's nice to have someone there who has known you for so long, is used to your dramatic boy stories, and who never judges you. Honestly, Sarah is my sister. I would do anything for her. We are COMPLETE opposites, so how we are friends, we really don't know. But we've only been in one fight, and we still to this day can't remember what it was about. I just remember getting a Starbucks out of it and she got a bunch of PEZ dispensers haha. Gosh I love that girl. Honestly, I could see us staying friends even after I'm old and married. I can't say that about all my friends, but with her, I think we would stay in touch. Love you G!!!

Graduation!! Finally!
Our Matching shirts from american eagle.
This picture kills me ahahaha.
EFY. Frick I was tan! Sarah hates when i bend down in pictures with her. I do that in like all of them haha. My bad!
I'm lady. She's tramp (: hahaha.

Day 22 – A picture that confuses you

I hate this! It's on stupid pop up ads all the time, and I sit there for literally 5 minutes trying to have it make sense. The only way i can get her to turn the other direction is if I look at her feet. And then I get confused again! Makes me frustrated!

Day 20 – A picture of somewhere you’d love to travel

Sydney, Australia

So, the past year and a half I have been seriously considering going on a study abroad to Australia. I honestly think it would be so much fun! So why Australia may you ask? Really that's a stupid question. It's rather self explanatory, but let me elaborate.

Australia isn't the United States. Granted, I love the U S of A, but I really want to live out side of it for a time just to see what it would be like. Australia is perfect because it is foreign, but not foreign enough that I'd go insane. I wouldn't have to learn a new language, I could manage the food, and lets be honest, everyone loves a man with an accent!

I was wanting to go to Australia in the Fall of 2011, but I have braces and quite frankly I don't want to visit another country for an extended period of time and have to worry about that. So if things seem to be going well come the end of this next semester and my life seems to be okay for me to take a 4 or so month leave, I would love to go to Australia for my Spring semester of 2012. I should HOPEFULLY have these blasted braces off by that point as well. So all the better! Also Utah State has some awesome exchanges with Australia and the Business program, so my scholarship would transfer over there, so I wouldn't have to worry about tuition. The main cost is just going to be the plane ticket over there. I guess we'll see though! We all have dreams, not all of them come true, but this is something I would LOVE to do.

Day 19 – A picture of someone you miss

Harold Brower Chambers

Unfortunately, I don't have a picture :(

My grandfather was one of the most amazing men I have ever met. He was a spiritual giant, and a very strong man. Literally, he had a death grip handshake that no one could get out of (: He also raised 7 amazing sons and 1 amazing daughter, one of which is my father, who is one of the greatest blessings in my life.

Is it weird to say I feel closer to my grandpa now that he is gone then I did when he was alive. Honestly sometimes when I feel at my all time low I just feel like he is there with me trying to cheer me up. I know he is just one of the many angels looking out for me. I definitely took his presence for granted. The day my dad told me he had passed away flipped my world upside down. Even a year later I still get teary eyed when I really think about him. I never realized the important role he played in my life till he was gone.

This was the first personal death I had dealt with since I've been old enough to realize what it really meant (I also had an uncle pass away when I was about 5, but I was too young to really understand it). Towards the end of my grandfathers life, he spent every sunday over at our house for dinner. He was the cutest old man out there! I'm talking like puppy at the window of the pet shop cute. Like you just wanted to be around him because just being in the same room with him made you smile! He was slowly losing his memory, his eye sight, and was extremely hard of hearing. But it was pretty cute (: For example...

Favorite memory:
Me-"Grandpa, can I get you anything?
Grandpa-"Pardon?"
Me-"Do you need anything!?"
Grandpa-"Oh yes! I'm breathing"

Bless his sweet spirit! I loved that old man. There was another time my nephew Gabriel (he was 3 at the time) had a small ball that he was passing to my grandpa.

Gabe-"Here gray-grapa (great grandpa). Catch!"
*Gabe chucks the ball at grandpa and it hits him square in the stomach*
Grandpa-"Well hey that's not fair. I can't see!"

Oh my gosh. I lost it. So funny!

I'm really so grateful that I was able to spend the last couple years of my grandfathers life getting to know him better. I was also blessed to be able to play lacrosse at the field right out side his retirement home. It was great to be able to visit him on occasion after my practices. Because of my grandfather, my appreciation for all my other family members has increased. I know that they can be gone tomorrow, and I really try to cherish every minute I have with my family members.

Happy Harold, I love you, and I miss you. I can't wait till I see you again.

Day 18 – A picture of the cast of your favourite show.

I'm so pathetic, but I've been really excited for this day of the blog challenge to share my obsession with everyone! Seriously, it's a pretty bad obsession. With both of the shows I'm about to share, I have watched EVERY SINGLE EPISODE, EVERY SINGLE SEASON. A little ridiculous. We all have our guilty pleasures right?! Mine just happen to be GG and VD! :p So here we go!!

GOSSIP GIRL
Who to blame for the obsession: Julie and Dee-Dee Nelson
First Impression: "Actors are totally hot, I'm definitely watching this."
Currently in it's 4th season

So this show really should be called Upper East Side Manhattan Drama. It's the kind of show that leaves you frustrated at the end of every episode because everyone is blowing things out of proportion, and you wish everything would just be resolved. But that's what makes it so awesome! Gossip Girl gets me hooked all over again after every episode. Even after 4 seasons it still has a strong plot going and is tying things in from the first season. Gossip Girl is easily my number one all time favorite show. So so so great. HIGHLY recommended.

VAMPIRE DIARIES
Who to blame for the obsession: Samantha Ward
First Impression: "I refuse to watch another stupid cheesy vampire show."
Currently in it's 2nd season

So my roommate Sam comes home from Thanksgiving Break claiming she has this awesome new show for us to watch. I HATE vampire shows more than anything. I'm not team Jacob or team Edward... I'm team Harry Potter. I try my very best to stray from the vampire scene, but this show TOTALLY GOT ME HOOKED! I started watching it strictly for the shallow enjoyment of the main actors, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder (total hotties). But by about the 5th episode, once a good plot had started to build, I got addicted. I'm completely caught up with where the CW episodes are in a matter of a month. Pretty pathetic. But honestly the show is so fun to watch! So if you are looking for a new show to get into, get into vampire diaries! It's only in the 2nd season so you really don't have a ton of catching up to do. Not to mention, the guys are hot (: Anyway, once again, yay for shallow posts! Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

Day 17 – Your favorite song

I hate this question!! I can't decide! I honestly love music so much and can't say I have ONE solid favorite song. So this is based completely on my most played song from iTunes.

On my old computer:
Apologize - OneRepublic
(Played 164 times)

On my laptop:
We're So Far Away - Mae
(Played 101 times)

12.20.2010

Day 16 – Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

Emma Watson.

I think she's simple and pretty. Not overly done up like Megan Fox and girls like that, just a natural pretty. I would love to be her for a day, but I'd want it to be a day where she is filming. I'm mildly obsessed with Harry Potter and I think it would be fun to be able to experience the action of being in a film. What better film than Harry Potter! See how it is all done and what not. Plus it would be cool to meet that whole cast. SOOO yeah! That's who I would switch lives with for a day. Only a day though! I don't think I could do the whole famous thing. I can't even imagine what that would be like. I like my not-so-average average life! (:

12.19.2010

Day 15 – A picture of something you want to do before you die

Before I die I really want to be able to go on a cruise to the Bahamas. I just think it looks beautiful. And preferably I'd want to be with my husband. I mean lets be honest, how awesome would that be? Haha. Definitely on my bucket list. I guess I better start saving up!
-Tay

12.18.2010

Day 14 – Picture of someone you could never imagine your life without

TAYLOR KENT SMEDLEY

2000

2010

You better believe we know the definition of best friends. Taylor and I honestly raised each other. I would be COMPLETELY different if Tay wasn't in my life. Granted, we aren't super close now, especially since he is on his mission, but I know all the time we spent together when we were younger made me who I am today. Tay and I met all the way back in 3rd grade. We went to Valley View Elementary together and were in the Spectrum Program there. We instantly became best friends. Tay C. and Tay S! I can remember the very first time we hung out. We went over to Taylor's house and made this artsy doll from some kit. We then went to Valley View to watch his brothers' soccer game and Tay and I went into this circle of trees and buried the doll creation. We proceeded to dig it up a few months later. It was absolutely nasty and covered with dirt at that time, but we thought it was awesome that it was still there. Good times. In 4th grade Taylor and I were in a play together. The play was called Harry Potter meets the Wizard of Oz. Tay got casted as the part of Harry Potter. I got the part of Hermione Granger. CUTE I KNOW! :p Totally BFF moment right there (That means best friends forever for those who aren't acronym literate). Taylor and I were known for our sweet dance moves. We were OBSESSED with A*teens and S Club 7. We would make up dances to their songs and perform it for our classmates. We were awesome, no need to tell us. Taylor Smedley really is someone I COULD NOT imagine my life without. He has always been so kind and loving to everyone he meets. I know he is an amazing missionary and I'm so proud of him for serving right now. In short, Taylor Kent Smedley is someone I could never imagine my life without.

12.15.2010

Day 13 – A picture of something you hate

I didn't want to do a picture for this, so I have a list.
Just to name a few...

People who don't blinker when turning , leave their blinkers on longer than needed, or blinker and then turn the other direction.
Long lines at the grocery store.
Ranch, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, vinaigrette, aka any sauce.
Being single on Valentines Day and having it rubbed in your face.
Bar code stickers on the back of books so you can't read what the book is about.
Low fuel light turning on.
Forgetting someone's name that you should know.
Getting jealous when the guy you like hangs out with other girls.
Going to the bathroom and realizing there is no toilet paper.
Losing cell phone service/ having your phone die at a "crucial" moment.
Losing the remote.
People coming to the room to say hi, then they realize all your roommates aren't home and they really didn't come to say hi to you, so they leave.
Pouring out cereal into a bowl, only to realize you don't have any milk.
When all your roommates get mail and you're the only one who didn't get a letter.
Getting a speeding ticket.
BRACES!!!

12.14.2010

Day 12 – A picture of something you love

LACROSSE!!

I've been on SO many sports teams and not a single one of them can compare to the Bountiful High School girls lacrosse team of 2010. I got along with every single one of them, which is pretty rare on a sports team. I absolutely love these girls! We really did make up a great group of girls. Negativity was very rare, on and off the field, and I think that is what took us so far in State. We ended up taking 3rd in state last year (as well as the year before that) but we had a record of 11-2. So I was really proud of us. Our last game was my best, but it was a tough lost. I had 75% on my saves, which for a lacrosse goalie is practically unheard of. I honestly love this sport so much. It is probably the number one thing I miss about high school. I've got to play a little bit since being up at college, but nothing like I did back at Bountiful. Long story short, I'm really glad I started playing lacrosse. It was an incredible growing experience for me.
What do I love? ... I love lacrosse.

12.13.2010

Day 11 – Your celebrity crush

So I'm skipping Day 10 because I find it ridiculous. Not about to write about that.
Day 10 – A picture of someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future
So on to day 11!!
Day 11 – Your celebrity crush

I can't choose one lets be honest. SOOO!... here is my ridiculous long list of celebrity crushes. In no order....

Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder- Actors (Vampire Diaries)
Mark Salling- Actor (Glee)

Joe King - Guitarist in The Fray

Chester See- Singer

Usher- Singer

Ed Westwick- Actor (Gossip Girl)

Apolo Ohno- Speed Skater

Bruno Mars- Singer

J. R. Celski- Speed Skater

MMMM. Hotties! I love shallow posts....

Day 09 – A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most

Let me just start by saying I have the best parents in the world. My daddy could beat up your daddy, and my mommy could probably beat up your daddy too. (: No but seriously, my parents are my best friends. I have been extremely lucky to have such a good relationship with both my parents. There is nothing I don't feel I could tell my parents. In fact, they know pretty much every little thing about me. I love how my parents have been there for me through thick and thin. No matter how stupid I've been, they've always given their full support and love to me and no amount of words could ever fully thank them for all they've done for me. I'm a pretty lucky girl and I love my mom and dad very much!
