Day 06 – A picture that shows your true self

Side note: Awesome Hoodie picture with the clashing schools. GO UTES!

So a picture of my true self.... Here it is! TREK! I don't think you can get any closer to exposing yourself then you do on Trek. No make up, no shower, hard work...You honestly see the true side of people. This is a picture of one of my really good friends Tyler Cheney. I'll be completely honest, Cheney and I were not exactly thrilled about trek. As soon as we found out we were going on trek, we joked about being in the same family. It was more like "So help me if we aren't together, I'm not going". Lucky for us, we got put together in the same family! Our family actually turned out to be pretty darn cool. I honestly don't remember a whole lot about trek except for the following:

*Cheney and I joking about sneaking out and making out behind the port-o-potties
*Our Ma and Pa hating Cheney and I because we were going to sneak out and make out behind the port-o-potties
*Cheney and I never actually sneaking out to make out behind the port-o-potties
*Ben Coles serenading everyone on guitar
*Katie Lund, Kevin Hill and I ditching out on swing dancing
*Being the first person to puke and getting to ride in an air conditioned car up a big hill while drinking a cold Dr. Pepper
*Getting a wicked farmers tan on my arms
*The women's pull
*Getting a letter my parents had written me that made me cry
*Gaining a greater respect and testimony for the pioneers

Overall... I hated trek and really hope I never have to do it again (: haha. BUT it was a great experience and I'm really glad I did it.

  1. Excuse me Miss Trek, but it appears those are artificial nails perparing that pot for grub. You can take the girl out of the city, but not the city out of the girl!
